About this story

Something is breathing at the back of that cave. And it is enormous.

The expedition sets off at dawn. To get there they cross the Forest of Echoes, where every sound comes back as music, and the Bridge of Clouds, where you can see almost the whole planet under your paws.

Then the cave. Huge, silent, full of crystals that light up the walls like living rainbows. An underground lake so clear it looks like glass, where little golden fish rise from the deep and draw pictures in the water.

Pigúiça leads the way, checking every step, making sure nobody gets left behind.

Until they reach the last chamber. A green light is pulsing in the darkness. And it seems to be breathing.

Then a deep sound echoes through the cave, and two enormous green eyes open in the dark.
