Secrets Around the Campfire: a short bedtime story for kids

The stars on Dogavios do not just shine. They blink at each other, in secret lights.

Night falls, and Fofuxo takes Pigúiça to a clearing where a campfire burns blue, green and gold, and gives off no smoke at all. Around it, every dog on the planet is settling in to sleep.

And then the old ones start to tell the ancient stories.

Caves where every stone plays a different note, so that when the wind blows through, the whole cave sings by itself. A garden of flowers in colors that exist nowhere else in the universe, where one of them glows exactly the color of missing someone.

Pigúiça listens with her heart racing. Because tomorrow, at sunrise, they are going to a cave nobody has ever fully explored.
