The Mysterious Little Ball: a short bedtime story for kids

What would you do if you found a little ball that winked at you?

Pigúiça is a blue-eyed husky who lives happily in her garden, among flowers and butterflies. Until the afternoon a strange glow calls to her from the bottom of the yard.

There, half buried in the damp earth, is a little ball unlike any other ball in the world. Inside it, thousands of tiny stars are dancing, and the colors keep changing. It shines like a secret waiting to be found.

Pigúiça comes closer, one little step, then another.

And then the ball does something no ball should ever do: it winks back.

In an instant the garden is gone. The house is gone. And Pigúiça opens her eyes on a planet where the sky is pink, the clouds smile, and everyone who lives there is a dog.
