About this story

How do you make a friend when neither of you speaks the other's language?

Pigúiça cannot understand a single bark on Dogavios. And Fofuxo cannot understand her. So the two of them invent something of their own: gestures, jumps, funny faces, and tails wagging like happy flags.

Little by little a language appears that belongs only to them. Made of movement, of affection, of meaning.

Then Fofuxo takes her to a pool of water so clear it works like a mirror, and Pigúiça sees something she will never forget: his eyes change color with whatever he is feeling. Golden when he is calm. Amber when he is excited. Deep blue when he has something important to say.

And somewhere out there, something very big and very gentle is about to cross their path.
