A rainy day with kids at home has an unfair reputation as a nightmare. With half a dozen ideas up your sleeve, it becomes the most remembered day of the month. The secret is having options by energy level: sometimes the child needs to burn energy, sometimes they need to land.

To burn energy (without breaking anything)

  • Pillow circuit: jump from one to another without touching the «lava floor».
  • Treasure hunt: 5 clues written on little papers hidden around the house.
  • Freeze dance: loud music, pause, everyone freezes. The Dogavios songs were made for this.
  • Bottle bowling: six empty bottles and a rolled-up sock for a ball.

For mid-afternoon

  • Blanket fort: two chairs, a sheet, a flashlight. Every story is better inside one.
  • Board game: the classic that brings generations together.
  • Cooking together: a simple recipe where the child measures and mixes.
  • Sock puppet theater: the bowling sock becomes a character.

To land

  • Coloring: print the 239 free Dogavios pages and let the pencil box do the rest.
  • Painting on screen: no printer? The painting game solves it on the phone.
  • Homemade play dough: flour, salt, water and food coloring.
  • A story under the blanket: the perfect closing. Dogavios was written for that moment, and if there is battery left, the Pigúiça game makes a fine dessert. 🐾
